Vintage OMAS "wild" Galileo Galilei Ballpoint Pen

£150.00

This a lovely, rare, vintage OMAS ballpoint pen, made from the lovely "wild" celluloid. It is black with off white veins running through the material, and looks awesome.

The roller clip is gold coloured, in good condition. There is a greek key pattern around the wide silver band (with gold coloured narrow bands above and below) that is a feature of OMAS pens. It has 12 facets.

The pen has a refill fitted, which will be supplied with the pen to allow you to purchase a new one when the time comes to use the pen.

The pen is vintage, and as expected does have micro scratches and dings to the barrel, although they are difficult to photograph and do not really catch the eye. Nevertheless they are present.

The barrel has a feint imprint of OMAS Galileo Galilei on the barrel, which suggests this accompanied the release of the Paragon model fountain pen, released by OMAS in 1993 in commemoration of the 650th anniversary of the University of Pisa. It was a limited edition of 4692 pens, although I cannot find an edition number on this pen.

As I am typing this, I am wondering why I am selling it... :-)
