Buying an item
Please carefully review the information about the item you are interested in on this website, including the photos, description and price plus delivery options. If you have any questions, or are unsure about any aspect of your potential purchase please do contact us for clarification (although a question does not prevent us from selling the item in the meantime). Once you click the button to purchase the item, then payment will need to be made immediately using the options presented via the website in order to make the purchase. If you make a mistake when adding an item to your cart, you can delete the item before payment. If you pay for an item after making a mistake, then please use the contact me button to inform me of your mistake and we will agree how to resolve this. The order can be cancelled at anytime prior to the item being shipped for a full refund. Please note that any import taxes, VAT, customs duties or handling charge etc incurred are your responsibility to pay. Please note that buying a used item, especially a vintage (pre-1980) item means the item will show signs of use. Whilst any cracks, deep scratches, missing parts will be described in the item’s description, there will likely always be minor things like brassing or tarnishing of metal parts, micro scratches and ink residue present. Minor issues do not constitute a fault with the item. Please ensure that you ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable before purchasing a pen. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Returning an item
If you receive an item from me that is faulty, not as described on the website, broken, or the incorrect item, or you exercise your right to cancel under UK Distance and Online selling legislation in force at the time and date of sale, then I will provide a full refund once I receive the item back in the condition I sent it (or in the condition you receive it, if you believe the item was damaged during shipping). Any refund due will be made within 14 days of receipt by me of the item. In order to return an item please use the contact me button at the end of the website and I will provide further information on how to carry out the return.. When returning an item it is your responsibility to ensure the item is correctly packed and a shipped using an appropriate method. No refunds will be given if the item is lost or damaged in the process of being returned to me. No refund will be given if a pen I have described as “mint” on the website has been used, as the use of the pen has a significant impact on the value. This term does not affect your rights under the Online and Distance selling legislation in force in the UK at the time and date of the sale.
Selling an item to me
You warrant that you own the item you are selling to me and are legally entitled to sell the item to me. Once I make payment to you, you will ship the item(s) to me within 24 hours by the shipping method we agree. In the event the item(s) do not arrive, or are damaged during shipping you will refund me in full within 24 hours of my request to do so. I will return any damaged item(s) to you at your cost if you wish. It is your responsibility to to claim any reimbursement or compensation from the shipping organisation, so please do take care when selecting your shipping method. If the item(s) is faulty, or materially not as described (missing parts, damage, poor condition, forgery etc) then you will refund me in full within 24 hours of my request. I will return the item(s) to you at your cost if you wish.
Sourcing an item
If I agree to your request to source an item(s) then one of 2 things may occur. Either I will procure the item(s) and sell them to you directly via this website and subject to these terms OR I will introduce you to another seller upon payment of a fee of 15%, or other such amount agreed, of the price of the item and you will then conclude the purchase contract with the the seller directly. Any issues with the item(s) are between you and the seller.
