Returning an item

I am keen to ensure that my customers are all very happy with their purchase. I am always happy to answer questions, provide further photos or writing samples, before a pen is bought to ensure that an informed decision is made when buying a pen. For pens being sold at a price in excess of £500 I am willing to travel a reasonable distance so that the pen can be viewed in person.

If you receive an item from me that is faulty, not as described on the website, broken, or the incorrect item, then I will provide a full refund once I receive the item back in the condition I sent it (or in the condition you receive it, if you believe the item was damaged during shipping). Any refund due will be made within 14 days of receipt by me of the item.

If you receive the pen, but decide to exercise a right to cancel under any UK Distance and Online selling legislation in force at the time and date of sale, then subject to the decision to cancel being notified to me within 14 days of receipt, and the pen being returned to me within 14 days of notification, I will provide a refund in line with UK legislation. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the pen, box and any accessories like converters or cartridges to me. If the nib has been dipped in ink, then I reserve the right to charge a £10 cleaning fee. If the pen has been filled with ink, then I reserve the right to charge a £20 cleaning fee. Fees will be deducted from any refund due.

In order to return an item please use the contact me button at the end of the website and I will provide further information on how to carry out the return. When returning an item it is your responsibility to ensure the item is correctly packed and shipped using an appropriate method.

No refunds will be given if the item is lost or damaged in the process of being returned to me. No refund will be given if a pen I have described as “mint” on the website has been used, as the use of the pen has a significant impact on the value.

This policy does not affect your rights under the Online and Distance selling legislation in force in the UK at the time and date of the sale.
